The term RISK pervades business, from corporate boardrooms to manufacturing plants, and government services from storm warnings to transportation safety, national security to environmental protection. Risk management is an essential approach for dealing with complex decisions in today’s global environment. The goal of the Centre is to be a catalyst for interdisciplinary knowledge generation and transfer, as a focal point for stimulating growth in analysis, measurement and management of risk. The Centre fulfills its mission by expanding risk-based course offerings at Dalhousie, organizing workshops, conferences and seminars, and fostering new research initiatives.
